Custom SaaS & Web App Development
I design and build web apps, SaaS products and internal tools that are fast, secure and easy to extend, from the first MVP to a platform your customers rely on every day.

The problems I solve
Your idea is stuck in slides
You know what the product should do, but you need someone who can turn a rough brief into a working app, make sensible technical calls, and ship something real users can log into.
The current codebase fights you
Every new feature breaks two old ones, deploys are scary, and nobody is sure how the auth or billing logic really works. You need a cleanup that keeps the product running while it happens.
Spreadsheets are running the business
Your team manages customers, orders or approvals across shared sheets and inboxes. It worked at ten records; at a thousand it is slow, error-prone and impossible to audit.
Agencies quote months and big teams
You want one experienced engineer who owns the whole stack, communicates clearly, and delivers in weekly slices you can actually click through.
What I build
What you get with Software & SaaS
SaaS products and MVPs
Multi-tenant apps with sign-up, roles and permissions, billing, onboarding and the admin views you need to support customers.
Dashboards and internal tools
Back-office apps that replace spreadsheets: data tables, approvals, reporting and exports, with access control for every role.
APIs and integrations
REST and GraphQL APIs, webhooks, and integrations with payment providers, CRMs and third-party services, documented so other developers can use them.
Real-time features
Live dashboards, notifications and collaborative screens using WebSockets, with state that stays consistent under load.
AI features inside your product
Search, summaries, assistants and document processing built into the app itself, with guardrails and a human in the loop where it matters.
Refactors and rescues
Untangling an existing React or Node codebase: clearer boundaries, typed data, tests around the risky parts, and a deploy pipeline you can trust.

How a request moves through a typical app I build
Hover, tap or tab through the steps to see what each one does. Press Run to replay the demo.
- User action in app: A user clicks, submits a form or opens a dashboard in the Next.js front end.
- API request: A typed Node.js API checks the session and permissions before touching any data.
- Save to Postgres: Quick reads and writes go straight to Postgres inside a transaction.
- Background job queued: Slow work such as reports, emails or AI calls is pushed to a queue so the user never waits on it.
- Live dashboard update: The React dashboard updates in real time so everyone sees the same state.
- Worker runs the job: A Python or Node worker processes the job, retries on failure and records the result.
User action in app: A user clicks, submits a form or opens a dashboard in the Next.js front end.

How we work
From first call to handover
Discovery call
A free call to understand your goals, current tools and constraints. You leave with a clear idea of what is possible, even if we do not work together.
Scope & quote
A written scope with deliverables, milestones and a quote, so you know exactly what you are getting before any work starts.
Build in weekly milestones
Work ships in weekly slices with a preview link and a short update each time, so you see progress and can steer early.
Handover, docs & support
You get the code, accounts, documentation and a walkthrough video. Ongoing support is available if you want it.
FAQ
Software & SaaS questions
Most projects use TypeScript end to end: Next.js and React on the front end, Node.js for APIs, and Postgres for data. I use Python where it is the better tool, such as data processing, AI pipelines and background workers. If you already have a stack, I work within it rather than rewriting for the sake of it. Every choice is explained in plain language, so you understand the trade-offs and are never locked into tools only I know.
Yes. I start with a short audit: how the app is structured, where the risk is, and what slows the team down. You get a written list of findings and a plan that keeps the product running while we improve it in small, reviewable steps. Quick wins like fixing deploys or adding error tracking usually come first, because they make every later change safer.
Work is split into weekly milestones. At the end of each one you get a preview link you can click through, a short written update, and a clear list of what comes next. You never wait months to see progress. If priorities change mid-build, we adjust the next milestone together instead of discovering the problem at the end.
You do. The code lives in your repository from day one, and on completion you hold every account, credential and piece of documentation needed to run and extend the product without me. I also write a short technical guide covering setup, architecture and deployment, so a new developer can be productive quickly.
Yes. I set up CI/CD, containers and hosting on AWS or DigitalOcean, with monitoring so problems are spotted before customers report them. See my DevOps & Cloud service for the details. Releases go through a pipeline with automated checks, and every change can be rolled back in minutes if something looks wrong.
Yes. I build AI search, summaries, assistants and document processing into existing apps, with cost controls, logging and fallbacks so the feature stays reliable when the model gets something wrong. Before building, I check whether the feature is worth the running cost and agree on how we will measure that it actually helps.
